Description:
The Therapist who is a licensed practitioner in one of the following - Licensed Mental Health Counselor / Clinical Social Worker / Marriage and Family Therapist plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive mental health counseling services to patients at Tranquil Waters Mental Health Clinic.
This position involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, or groups.
Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of patients.
Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical observations and assessment findings.
Treatment Planning and Implementation:
Develop individualized treatment plans that align with patients' goals, strengths, and needs.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
Counseling and Therapy:
Provide individual, couples, family, or group counseling sessions to address a range of mental health issues and concerns.
Foster a therapeutic environment that promotes healing, growth, and positive change.
Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Teamwork:
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions as required.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality and record-keeping.
Continuing Education and Professional Development:
Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of mental health counseling.
Pursue ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Compliance & Confidentiality:
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and payor regulations.
Requirements:
Education
Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
(MSW required, pre-licensure is acceptable)
Experience
Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting
License
Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
