The ideal counselor will be warm, empathic, uphold integrity, and share a genuine desire to work with children, adolescents, and their families.
The employee must be knowledgeable and practice within their scope and abide by the ethical standards of their doctrine.
The counselor will be expected to complete progress notes weekly, manage their schedule, work independently to meet the needs of their clients, attend monthly supervision, and attend professional development trainings.
This position also includes collaborative communication with physicians, family units, the Department of Human Services, and school officials.
This position requires in-person counseling in an office setting and does not require any in-home or school based therapy.
This position will allow flexibility in your schedule within the office hours of 8-6pm.
The minimum credentials you can hold is holding a LICSW, LMSW or LGSW (under supervision) to apply for this position.

We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW under supervision or LICSW) to provide family counseling to children, adolescents and their families for the Gadsden, AL practice.
Minimum Requirements:
*LMSW, LICSW, or LMFT*
A Masters degree from an accredited Mental health program along with fully licensed credentials are required.
You must have completed an internship at an accredited university and have significant experience in working with children.
This is a commission based employment position and counselor must meet the minimum requirement to see clients with Private insurances.
Criminal background and reference review is mandatory and there is a 90 day probationary period for all onboarding clinicians.
Telehealth option is available for select clients.
*This is not a remote only counseling position and you will be required to be in office 75% or more of the time in Gadsden, AL .

This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly skilled clinician to gain continued experience in the private practice sector.
We prefer to have a very seasoned Counselor who is knowledgeable in Counseling Ethics, Contemporary counseling practices, multiculturally competent and has proficient documentation skills.
Must have at least 1-2 years of clinical experience as a counselor in either community mental health or within a private practice.
