Job Functions include:
Responsible for the oversight and management (direction, coordination, and control of activities) of the CPC drivers assigned to NSE within the guidelines of authorized CPC policies, programs, procedures, budgets, laws, and business ethics.
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the scheduling of drivers to service our customer and their customer(s).
Responsible for assuring that all operations are in adherence to federal, state and local laws as well as CPC policies and procedures.
Responsible for the efficiency of the operation, looking for ways to improve service and control costs.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage the CPC team by establishing their work schedules, to provide coverage of the operation, and overseeing the execution of their duties.
Actively participate in the hiring, orientation, training, and management of CPC drivers who will be assigned to NSE.
Receive, review, and investigate all issues raised by CPC employees in accordance work rules while involving the CPC Regional Manager.
Oversee and ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations, review hours of service on drivers, vehicle inspection reports, mileage and trip sheets, and other required company etc.
Investigate and review all accidents and on-the-job injuries.
Work with customer leadership, CPC RM, and CPC Safety Manager to reduce claims and enhance safe operations.
Be on-site at NSE promoting safety and efficiency while doing training, retraining and driver observations.
Requirements:
Education: Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Preference given to those with Transportation & Warehouse Management Experience
Other requirements:
Possess strong math and problem-solving skills
Possess good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage and oversee the CPC dispatch team
Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities
Strong Excel and Word (Microsoft) skills
Knowledge of the DOT Hours of Service Regulations and understanding of Electronic Logging Devices
