Role: Responsible for creating, managing, directing, and coordinating the operations and business development efforts of the branches.
Provides effective leadership to direct staff in the delivery of branch growth, lending, profitability, member satisfaction, business development and retention.
Directs, empowers, and supervises Branch Managers.
This position will be based out of the Gadsden office with both onsite and remote work along with weekly travel to the branches.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Manages overall branch operations including updates on achieving branch goals and ensures branch operations are efficient, effective, and compliant with all applicable regulations, credit union policies and sound business practices Effectively establishes performance requirements and personal development plans for Branch Managers, continually monitors performance, and coaches for personal as well as professional development of Branch Manager and branch staff.
Participates in recruitment, interviewing and selection of branch staff, performance evaluations, training, and career development.
Ensures appropriate and effective staff training and verifies appropriate understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
Reviews the quarterly branch audits completed by the Compliance Officer, ensures branch compliance with policies and procedures and consistency throughout branches.
Ensures that all security procedures are being followed.
Acts as the primary resource to answer difficult questions and to solve complex problems for members and staff.
Follows-up on details to resolve the matter to the satisfaction of all parties, as is appropriate.
Strives to develop a positive culture that motivates and reinforces accountability, promotes teamwork, effective management, and ownership of branches with Branch Managers.
Conduct regular meetings with branch managers to review efforts in quality member service, maintaining facilities, marketing efforts, and overall operations of the branches.
Discuss areas needing improvement and changes in procedures and processes.
Gather input on new or improved strategic ideas.
Observes the branch staff’s ability to analyze and identify member needs, promote, and cross-sell the credit union’s products and services effectively.
Assist Branch Managers with developing and coaching techniques for cross-sells.
Represents the Credit Union at local and surrounding community events along with the Branch Manager and, including branch staff as is appropriate.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills: Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education:(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.
g.
, information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Managerial Responsibility:Managerial responsibility for a large department, large group of employees (typically 15 or more), or multiple groups of employees with diverse functions.
Policies and practices may be implemented through subordinate supervisors, commonly defined as managers who supervise other managers or supervisors.
Interpersonal Skills: Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution, giving material presentations, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions.
Role also requires the ability to motivate or influence others as a material part of the role, with a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the role and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.

Salary Range: $83,283-$124,925 based upon experience
