Sweet boy! Please read (Jacksonville)

This dog was dropped off and wandering around in the main road by my house.

I have tried to find his owner and no one has claimed him that being said he was just hanging out here and we've started getting attached, but he can not stay here loose and I don't want him on a chain or in a kennel he loves to roam, but he gets in the middle of the road and has been close to being run over.
He gets along with our dogs and is great with my kids other than wandering in the middle of the road he did kill one of our chickens (playing with it) he didn't eat it he just got to rough.
He's a sweet little dog.
we have wormed him.

he's hilarious to watch play with pine cones.
